Chris Rezendes represented LABS at a smart cities dinner and summit hosted by the IoT Consortium in Boston on December 5th.
The Internet of Things Consortium (IoTC) is a trade association for the IoT marketplace. Their mission is to ignite the growth of the IoT movement by facilitating partnerships, promoting knowledge sharing and education, and driving adoption of IoT products and services. Members of the IoTC include Verizon, Belkin, ABC, Nestle, Honeywell, Fox, and many more.
The event was hosted by IoTC CEO Greg Kahn along with Jason Hiner, Global Editor in Chief of TechRepublic and Larry Dignan, Global Editor in Chief of ZDNet. Together they led a guided group discussion exploring the future of Smart Cities over dinner.
Chris presented the LABS story and examples of bringing pragmatic, resilient experiences to communities from Singapore to Standing Rock through the Massachusetts South Coast.
LABS plans to continue engagement with IoTC members and encourage consumer and commercial brands to re-discover the meaning and value of resilience.
